Business Conduct Guidelines

The appearance of the Lagermax Group in public is characterised by the appearance and behaviour of each individual employee. Each employee is responsible for ensuring that actions and subcontracts promote the environmental and social image of the Lagermax Group.

The BCGs are mandatory for all employees and support the employees to cope with ethical and legal challenges in their daily work. Any employee may contact the line manager at any time for questions and advice related to BCGs.

All employees must comply with the legal provisions of the legal system in which they act. In the event of a breach, any employee will face employment and disciplinary consequences, regardless of the penalties provided for by law, due to the breach of his or her duties.

Lagermax respects the personal dignity, privacy and personal rights of each individual. Lagermax does not tolerate any discrimination against persons of different backgrounds, nationality, culture, religion, skin colour or any sexual or other personal harassment or insult.

These principles apply both to the Lagermax Group and to its behaviour towards partners. The company offers fair employment conditions, pays fair wages and takes into account the needs of employees during operational measures.

Every supervisor is responsible for his employees. It sets clear, ambitious and realistic goals. In the case of professional or personal problems, any employee can contact the supervisor or the HR department. It is the responsibility of managers in the company to ensure that no violations of the law occur in their area that could have been prevented or impeded by supervision.

Lagermax expects suppliers to adhere to the principles of value and to all provisions as defined by the company for itself, its stakeholders and the environment. These include adherence to all applicable laws, the absence of corruption, compliance with and respect for human rights, responsibility for the health and safety of employees, compliance with international standards for environmental protection and the requirement that the value principles are also implemented and adhered to in the company's own value chain.

Only fair competition enjoys the right to develop freely. The imperative of integrity is also valid in business competition. Every employee is obliged to comply with all rules of fair competition. Employees may not hold discussions with competitors where prices or capacities are agreed. Even agreements on non-competition or the submission of bogus offers are inadmissible .

Lagermax grants suppliers fair contractual conditions and appropriate services, but at the same time expects customers to behave fairly and correctly.

The business relationship between Lagermax and the customer is characterised by quality, price, innovative products and services. Employees may not offer or grant unauthorised benefits in connection with doing business, directly or indirectly. Neither as monetary benefits nor in the form of other benefits. Gifts to business partners must be selected in order to avoid any appearance of dishonesty or incorrectness in the recipient.

Employees at Lagermax who conclude contracts with consultants, intermediaries, agents or comparable third parties must ensure that they do not offer or grant any unjustified benefits.

Employees may not use their official position to claim, accept, obtain or accept benefits. This implies that each employee informs the supervisor of any personal interest in the performance of official duties. Furthermore, suppliers should not be unfairly favored or hindered when placing an order.

Invitations from business partners may only be accepted if the occasion and scope of the invitation are appropriate. Gifts from business associates are to be refused or returned unless they are insignificant occasional gifts. Employees may not have private orders made by companies with whom business contact exists if there could be personal benefits.

Lagermax grants monetary and material donations for education, culture, sport and social concerns. Transparency and concrete use are top priorities. Lagermax emphasizes that employees do not run into conflicts of interest or loyalty in their work.

Operation of a company that is fully or partially in competition with the Lagermax Group is not permitted to employees. In any case, written permission is required for participation in companies which are business partners of the Lagermax Group.

Ancillary activities for remuneration must be notified in writing to the supervisor in advance. Secondary employment can be prohibited if it leads to an impairment of work performance, contradicts the obligations in the company or if there is a risk of conflict of interest.

The facilities and facilities in offices, warehouses, workshops, production facilities may only be used for business purposes. In no case may information be called on or passed on that invokes racial hatred, glorification of violence or other criminal offenses or has content which is sexually offensive in the respective cultural background.

Employees are not permitted to make records, files, video and audio recordings or reproductions without the prior consent of the supervisor, unless this is directly attributable to their professional activity.

Open and effective collaboration requires accurate and truthful reporting. This applies equally to the relationship with owners, employees, customers, business partners and the public and government agencies.

Records and reports made internally or externally must be accurate and truthful.

Secrecy over internal matters must be maintained if the information has not already been publicly disclosed by the entrepreneur.

Access to electronic media, electronic information exchange and dialogue, e-business - are crucial to business success.

Personal data may only be collected, processed or used to the extent necessary for specified, explicit and legitimate purposes. Data quality and technical protection against unauthorised access guarantee a high standard.

The use of data must be transparent for data subjects, the right of access and rectification and, if necessary, objection, blocking and deletion must be upheld.

Protecting the environment and conserving resources are top priority corporate goals. The environmental management department within the Lagermax Group ensures compliance with the law and sets high standards.

Responsibility towards employees offers the best possible provision against accident hazards. This applies both to the technical planning of workplaces, facilities and processes, as well as to safety management and personal behaviour in everyday working life.

The working environment meets the requirements of a health-oriented design. Every employee must pay close attention to safety.

Any employee may make a personal complaint to the supervisor, the Human Resources Department or any other designated person / entity, or the Employee Representative (ANV), or point out circumstances that suggest violations of the BCGs. All documents will be kept confidential, retaliation, of any kind, will not be tolerated.

The management of the Lagermax Group actively promotes the broad communication of the Business Conduct Guidelines and ensures their sustainable implementation. Compliance with the law and observance of the BCGs is regularly monitored in all organisational units of the Lagermax Group. In order to ensure a fair and corruption-free competitive behavior, responsible persons are appointed in all areas.
