The truck toll in France is calculated on the basis of the length of the route run, which road section is used and the vehicle class. Many tunnels and bridges are also subject to tolls. Therefore, an independent extra calculated nationwide truck charge in France cannot be calculated.
There is no fixed rate for the respective kilometers driven that is valid throughout France. As a result, the amount of the toll is not fixed uniformly.

The highway toll was introduced in France in 1955 and is primarily used to finance and maintain roads, bridges and tunnels. The 11,000-kilometer network is managed by eleven different operating companies and is largely privately owned.
