UPDATE! Brenner highway (A13) | Reconstruction of Lueg Bridge

28.05.2025

UPDATE | 28.05.205

We would like to inform you that as of June 4, 2025, two northbound lanes will be available again for heavy goods vehicles on the Lueg Bridge, Brenner freeway (A13).

IMPORTANT!
All vehicles over 3.5 tons must then use the left lane, as it is structurally more resilient. Integrated weighbridges will monitor the weight - if this is exceeded, an automatic diversion will take place.

The temporary relief in the northbound direction with two lanes will be in place until October 5, 2025.

In this context, we would like to point out that there may still be delays for HGVs.

28.10.2024

We would like to inform you that the Lueg Bridge near Gries am Brenner on the Brenner highway (A13) will only have one traffic lane in each direction from January 1, 2025, due to renovation work. This will result in a reduction in transport capacity due to the single-lane traffic routing.

This also affects the direct Lagermax lines from / to Italy. Delays and longer transit times must be expected. If the restrictions for heavy goods vehicles, such as the ban on night-time driving remain in place, there is a potential for extensive traffic jams.

Based on current information, the renovation or completely new construction of the Lueg Bridge near Gries am Brenner will take up to 3 years.

Further information can be found on the ASFINAG and ÖAMTC (only german) websites.

If you have any questions, please contact the head of Lagermax Italy shipments.
