For global FCL (Full-Container Load) shipments, Lagermax uses international cooperation agreements with renowned partners. The Lagermax Sea Freight division also has excellent “access” to terminal services in all container depots in Austria.

Incoterms® 2020
The Incoterms – International Commercial Terms – were revised by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC). The current version of the Incoterms® 2020 entered into force on 1 January 2020 and contain some adjustments and modifications.
Overview of the main changes
- The Incoterms® clause DAT (Delivered at Terminal) was changed to DPU (Delivered at Place Unloaded), meaning that from now on any (agreed) location can be the destination without having to be a “terminal".
- The Incoterms® 2020 take into consideration the demonstrated market demand for bills of lading with “On Board” notices and the FCA Incoterms® clause
- Clearer presentation of the costs in the standards
- The Incoterms® 2020 adjust the insurance coverage in clauses CIF and CIP to current business practices
- In FCA, DAP, DPU and DDP, the Incoterms® 2020 take into consideration the business practice of an increasing number of sellers and buyers of organising transport of the goods themselves
- The Incoterms® 2020 clauses take into account the global increase in safety requirements for the transport of goods and now contain clear rules on the distribution of the safety responsibilities and the associated costs
- The Incoterms® 2020 clauses adapt the rules to the new global commercial practices

Solas Information
On 1 July 2016 VGM – VERIFIED GROSS MASS – was introduced. Consequently, shipping lines must receive timely confirmation of the gross mass of containers from the shippers before their loading on board a ship.
There are two methods to determine the VGM:

2) calculation: for this, please use the link, for one-time registration.
To prevent any problems or delays with your shipment, we refer to the provisions of the BMVIT – Federal Ministry of Transport, Innovation and Technology (Bundesministerium für Verkehr, Innovation und Technologie).

B.A.F.
(Bunker adjustment factor) - compensation for changing fuel costs.
B/L
(Bill of Lading) - transport document proving sea transport from the place of departure to the place of destination.
C.A.F.
(Currency adjustment factor) - compensation for exchange rate fluctuations among different currencies.
C.F.S.
(Container freight station) - warehouse where consolidated containers are loaded or unloaded.
C.Y.
(Container Yard) - place where loaded containers are delivered for shipment or forwarding.
CY/CY
Denotes an FCL shipment received in a container yard and to be delivered to a container yard as a consolidated shipment (indication on the B/L).
CY/CFS
Denotes an FCL shipment that is unloaded at a warehouse at the place of delivery, or a full container consisting of several partial shipments.
CFS/CY
Denotes an LCL shipment//Partial shipments were consolidated into a full load.
C.S.C.
(Container service charge) - Handling charges for containers in Europe.
C/S
(Congestion surcharge) - Surcharge for waiting time in ports.
Container demurrage
Container rent if the container s not handed over at the port within a set time.
Express waybill
Non-bankable document for quick release of a container, mostly used in USA traffic (not a bearer document, endorsement not necessary).
E.T.A.
Estimated time of arrival of the ship.
E.T.D.
Estimated time of departure of the ship.
F-B/L
(Fiata Bill of Lading) - usually a bankable document (sea bill of lading).
F.C.L.
(Full container load) - full container service.
