Toll adjustment for trucks | 1/7/2025
The government in Slovakia has announced in Government Decree No. 418/2024 Coll. that toll charges will be recalculated from 1 July 2025 in accordance with the implementation of the Eurovignette Directive.
In future, the toll charges will consist of 3 main components:
- Infrastructure charge
- Levy for external costs in connection with CO₂ emissions
- Levy for external costs in connection with air pollution
Additional information:
- All vehicles are initially automatically assigned to CO₂ emission class 1 (highest tariff)
- Vehicles that were first registered before 1 July 2019 cannot be classified in a higher CO₂ class
- It´s possible to check the current CO₂ class and apply for reclassification using the online tool at www.emyto.sk/en/co2
