Lagermax Acquires Ambach Entsorgung

Lagermax Continues Growth Strategy ++ Europe-wide Trade in Secondary Raw Materials ++ Expansion of Existing Logistics Infrastructure in the Green Logistics Sector ++

Salzburg, July 16, 2024. Lagermax Green Logistics GmbH, a subsidiary of the Lagermax Group, acquired Ambach Entsorgung GmbH in July 2024. With this move, the company is expanding its “Green Logistics” division and thereby strengthening its market development efforts for the circular economy and recycling solutions both domestically and internationally.

Ambach Entsorgung GmbH, based in Pichl bei Wels, Upper Austria, offers reliable waste management solutions tailored to manufacturing companies. “With this acquisition, carried out in a spirit of partnership, we are consistently pursuing our growth strategy. Ambach operates in the field of waste management solutions and enables Lagermax to trade in secondary raw materials across Europe,” says Thomas Baumgartner, CEO of the Lagermax Group. The previous owner, Dieter Ambach, will remain with the company as managing director and will continue to run the business together with the new managing director, Roland Amtmann, and the existing on-site team. This further expands the existing logistics infrastructure within Lagermax Green Logistics.

Recyclable Materials Trading – Waste as Tomorrow’s Raw Material

Founded in 2002, Ambach Entsorgung GmbH, located in Pichl, has 15,000 m² of storage space (including 2,500 m² of covered warehouse space) and excellent transportation connections in the heart of Upper Austria. The company has an excellent international network, and its service portfolio ranges from trading in waste paper and plastics to commercial waste. Annually, over 30,000 metric tons of recyclable materials are fed into national and international recycling streams.

Following Lagermax Green Logistics GmbH’s acquisition of a stake in the German battery logistics company LogBATT GmbH last year, and given that its Styrian subsidiary FRIKUS has long been successfully implementing transportation and logistics solutions in the waste and recycling sector, Lagermax is once again expanding its service portfolio with this acquisition.

The Lagermax GL division meets the growing demand for waste disposal and recycling services with a high recovery rate.
