Alexander Brandstätter wins vice-champion title at AustrianSkills

Salzburg, 25 November 2025. AustrianSkills 2025 – the national championships for the professions – which took place from 20 to 23 November 2025 at the Salzburg Exhibition Centre, ended with outstanding results. Alexander Brandstätter from Lagermax Logistics Austria, Salzburg, took an excellent 2nd place in the freight forwarding agent category, securing the runner-up title.

“We are very proud that Mr. Brandstätter won the runner-up title in the freight forwarding category at AustrianSkills. We are already keeping our fingers crossed for Alexander Brandstätter as he takes part in the 2027 European Championships in Düsseldorf,’ says Günter Fridrich, CHRO / CMO Lagermax Lagerhaus und Speditions AG.

Thanks to his consistently strong performance on all three days of competition and his silver medal win, Brandstätter also qualified for the 2027 European Championships in Düsseldorf.

Eight challenging exam modules in the freight forwarding category passed with flying colours

Austria's best young talents demonstrated their skills and implemented challenging projects at the highest professional level. In the freight forwarding agent category, eight exam modules had to be completed, including new customer acquisition, land transport quotation calculation, land transport handling, sea freight transport calculation, sea freight handling, complaint processing, damage processing, and air freight calculation and handling.
