The shareholders of Avtoservis Koper d.o.o., FRIKUS Transportlogistik GmbH and the port company Luka Koper d.d. celebrated 30 years of cooperation in the port of Koper. The joint venture, which has been in place since 1995, offers high-quality and value-added services in the field of vehicle logistics.
“This anniversary reflects not only years, but also the strength of our cooperation and our commitment,” emphasized Rene Eisbrich, Managing Director of FRIKUS Transportlogistik, regarding the long-standing partnership and the trust that has grown over three decades.
As part of the anniversary event, Thomas Baumgartner, CEO of the Lagermax Group, reviewed the early stages of the partnership and the rise of the southern route through Koper. “A route that is successful due to the expertise of the services and the people behind them, declared Baumgartner.
On the occasion of the anniversary celebrations, a new vehicle workshop with an area of almost 900 square metres was also put into operation. The new workshop contains eight workstations where additional vehicle equipment can be installed and modified. Additional bodywork protection services and software upgrades for electric vehicles, which are rapidly growing in popularity, also offer great potential.
The car and RO-RO terminal in Koper is considered one of the largest and most modern in the Mediterranean region, not least due to its strategic location, and is one of the four most successful in Europe when it comes to vehicle handling. Avtoservis Koper is an important part of the Slovenian harbour terminal on the upper Adriatic.
