++ 3.6 percent growth compared to 2024 ++ Significantly over 64 million parcels handled in 2025 ++ E-commerce and exports driving volume ++ Very dense “out-of-home” network as a key competitive advantage ++

Salzburg, January 22, 2026. DPD Austria has recorded exceptionally strong results for the 2025 financial year. With 64.6 million parcels transported, Austria's leading private parcel service achieved the highest parcel volume in its history – surpassed only by the exceptional years of 2021 and 2022 due to the pandemic. This corresponds to growth of 3.6 % or around 2.3 million shipments compared to 2024.

As one of the three operating partners, the Lagermax Group values its strong performance and continuous development of the network.

Key growth areas: E-commerce and exports

Growth was once again driven primarily by e-commerce and very dynamic export business. Germany remained the most important export market in 2025, while France and Italy grew particularly strongly with growth rates of over 30 percent and 40 percent respectively. This development underscores the great importance of international goods flows and the close integration of DPD Austria into the Europe-wide DPD network.

Private customer business continues to grow

The private customer business once again achieved significant growth: almost every second parcel in 2025 was sent to private recipients. “The growing demand for flexible delivery and pickup options is reflected in the strong expansion of ‘out-of-home’ logistics,” confirms Mag. Rainer Schwarz, Managing Director of DPD in Austria. With over 3,300 pickup locations, DPD Austria operates one of the largest networks for pickup, returns, and parcel shop delivery in the country.

Strong base through solid shareholder structure

Since its foundation in 1988 – under the name APS Austria Paket System – DPD Austria has relied on the logistics infrastructure of its three operating partners Gebrüder Weiss, Lagermax, and Schachinger. Around 2,500 logistics experts are employed throughout Austria, supported by a transport fleet of 1,600 vehicles. This partnership ensures the necessary stability, quality, and flexibility for further growth.
