Drone delivery – exploring new horizons in logistics

28.08.2025

The logistics industry is facing an exciting development: while trucks, ships, and trains continue to form the backbone of our transport infrastructure, drones are opening up completely new possibilities.

The enormous potential of this technology is particularly evident in areas where speed, flexibility, or sustainability make a decisive difference.

A pilot project with a vision for the future

For this reason, we have launched a technology validation project in collaboration with Rain Air Cargo. Our goal is to understand how cargo drones can complement existing transport solutions and open up new perspectives. The aim is not to replace tried-and-tested methods, but to expand the logistics spectrum with innovative components.

Impressive performance data:

The initial results of our pilot project are promising and demonstrate the concrete potential of drone technology:

Range: Our cargo drones can connect locations up to 105 kilometers apart. This range opens up completely new possibilities for supplying remote areas or quickly bridging larger distances.

Transport capacity: With a payload of up to 15 kilograms and speeds of 120 km/h, the drones offer impressive performance. This combination of load capacity and speed makes them an attractive option for time-critical shipments.

Environmental compatibility: A particularly important aspect is the contribution to the decarbonization of supply chains. The fully electric flights generate no emissions during transport – a decisive advantage for sustainable logistics solutions.

Expertise meets innovation

The partnership with Rain Air Cargo combines decades of logistics experience with state-of-the-art drone technology. Together, we are exploring where drones can create real added value – whether it's opening up rural areas, reducing emissions, or speeding up urgent deliveries.

We are still in the early stages of this technological revolution, but the potential is already clear. Every step in our pilot project brings us closer to a comprehensive understanding of how drones can be integrated into the future of logistics.

Drone delivery will not replace all existing transport methods, but it will add valuable new dimensions to the logistics ecosystem. At a time when sustainability, efficiency, and speed are becoming increasingly important, cargo drones offer a promising solution to the challenges of tomorrow.

The journey has only just begun, but the direction is clear: drones will play an important role in the future of logistics, and we are proud to be part of this development.
