Lagermax forwarding division with new organizational structure

Salzburg, September 9, 2022. Lagermax AED GmbH merged into one company with Lagermax Internationale Spedition GmbH as of September 1. Both companies are subsidiaries of the Lagermax Group. In the course of this merger, Lagermax Internationale Spedition GmbH was renamed Lagermax Logistics Austria GmbH. The business segments Lagermax AED and Lagermax Spedition, which were previously managed separately, now operate under one roof. The successful services of Lagermax AED will remain unchanged as the product brand AED and is further expanding both in Austria and abroad.

Alexander Friesz, CEO of Lagermax Group and responsible for the freight forwarding division comments: "With the merger we are creating a strong organization that optimally meets the requirements of the future of our business activities and goals. Clear assignment of responsibilities, a significant reduction of interfaces as well as the strengthening of our group at home and abroad are associated with this."

The managers of Lagermax Logistics Austria GmbH are Michael Macheiner, Richard Pöschl, Christian Stoll and Herbert Weber.

Foundation for sustainable growth

The new structure creates an optimal starting position for further expansion steps, which are planned through organic growth as well as acquisitions. The forwarding and logistics division of the Lagermax Group is thus ideally equipped for the challenges of the future, such as international development or digitalization. With this structure, a trend-setting step was taken for the development of sustainable logistics solutions and innovative products - in line with the company motto "Together in motion".

In 2021, Lagermax Group generated annual sales of over 545 million euros and employs 3,500 people at 55 locations in 12 countries from Central and Eastern to Southeastern Europe.
